Port Salerno is an unincorporated Martin County community of about 10,400 residents around Manatee Pocket near the St. Lucie Inlet, home to the county’s last commercial fishing dock. The inlet, cut by residents in 1892 and nearly half a mile wide today, is dredged every two to four years.

A real local seawall price
Martin County budgeted $700,000 to repair or replace 79 feet of damaged seawall at the east end of Bayview Street (Manatee Park), including $400,000 for sheet pile and $230,000 for mobilization and general conditions. That is about $8,861 per foot for a public job; it shows how fixed costs dominate short walls.
High salinity near the inlet is hard on steel and concrete. During Nicole, surge flooded restaurant decks on Manatee Pocket. What could the work cost?
For short residential walls, ask how mobilization is priced; it can be a large share of a small job.
Published examples are attributed context from Treasure Coast and nearby South Florida sources, not a Port St. Lucie average or a quote. Your wall needs a property-specific written scope.

A Port Salerno checklist
Use these steps to gather records and prepare a property-specific conversation. Public records and project references do not describe the condition of your wall.
Pull the permit history
Search the address on the city or county permit portal for seawall, dock and lift permits and their final inspections before the first site visit.
Prepare the county checklist
Sealed drawings, NAVD survey and the DEP permit or exemption.
Ask about inlet dredging
Inlet shoaling and dredging cycles affect access.
Coordinate with neighbors
Shared mobilization can matter on short walls.
