Preserve edge and septic-to-sewer
Residential riverfront and canal lots mix seawalls and docks with mangrove points. Older walls on lots of record may qualify for shoreline protection zone waivers, but new hardening needs a county Shoreline Stabilization Permit.
WPTV reported North River Shores was targeted for septic-to-sewer conversion as a possible pollution hotspot, with homeowners paying part of the cost. Shoreline Protection - Requirements for Waterfront Lots of Record, 1 Acre or Less · Septic projects a huge price for homeowners (Alex Hagan)
What could the work cost?
Coordinate wall work with any sewer construction in the street to avoid paying twice for access and restoration.
Published examples are attributed context from Treasure Coast and nearby South Florida sources, not a Port St. Lucie average or a quote. Your wall needs a property-specific written scope.
